James Cheng - Sourcing Manager (China)

James Cheng brings TriVista clients more than eight years of manufacturing experience in supply chain management, operations management, and lean manufacturing and implementation. Prior to joining TriVista, James was Supply Chain Manager at Stiebel Eltron, one of Europe’s largest water heater manufacturers, where he was in managed supply chain operations and coordinated with management in Germany, while focusing on quality improvement to meet cost reduction targets.

Before joining Stiebel Eltron, James acquired extensive experience leading sourcing and lean manufacturing projects with several Fortune 500 companies such as Emerson, Siemens and Toyota.

A native of Tianjin, James received his bachelor of engineering at Shanghai Maritime University and his MBA at the Tianjin University. James has been trained extensively in Lean and Six Sigma management philosophies and is an ISO 14000 and ISO 9000 certified auditor. James also has extensive experience implementing CPSM and ISO 14001.

James is proficient in English and Mandarin with basic speaking and writing skills in both German and Japanese.
