TriVista participates in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County’s event
On June 27th, 2015 TriVista partnered with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters (BBBS) of Orange County to participate in their “Big for a Day” program. BBBS is an organization that creates generational change within communities through creating and supporting life-transforming friendships for at risk youth. Their “Big for a Day” event series is designed to allow the children waiting to be matched with a mentor the opportunity to experience a fun-filled day with volunteers, like TriVista.
The TriVista volunteers were paired with their “Little” brothers and sisters and spent the day bonding and learning about their littles by spending the afternoon at a local amusement park. Not only did they share their personal hobbies, but they opened up about their not so “little” dreams.
Quinn Maycumber, a TriVista volunteer, reminisced about her time with her “Little Sister” and shared her passions. “She loves to dance, especially hip hop.”
Alycia Schaefer, another TriVista volunteer, bonded with her “little sister” and talked about her future career goals. “She wants to be a therapist when she grows up to help people with their problems.”
TriVista is grateful to BBBS for allowing us the opportunity to be BIG for a day. For a sneak peek into our day, please view the photos below. To learn more about the BBBS organization, please visit http://www.bigbrooc.org/
