Why company context changes the ranking
Company context changes relevance, and two credible models can produce different rankings from the active catalog.
Context is not a footnote
A platform that fits a high-maturity business-services company may be a poor first move for a low-maturity manufacturer. Revenue scale, company type, technology maturity, industry, existing ecosystem, and implementation capacity alter the decision even when the underlying product research is unchanged.
TriVista tested two experimental approaches across governed company contexts. Their leading groups overlap, but meaningful differences remain. Glean ranks ninth in the persona-weighted overall list and second in the later pairwise context model. Copilot for Dynamics 365 moves from second to sixth. Those differences are evidence that model design matters, not a reason to hide one model.
People and company contexts are different
A CFO and a COO in the same company ask different questions and require different proof. Two CFOs in companies with different maturity and ecosystems may also need different shortlists. TriVista therefore separates the human role from company context and from the job to be done.
The governance standard
Before a contextual model influences a public result, compare rank stability, test sensitivity, review unstable tools, obtain independent expert judgments, and calibrate against real pilot outcomes. Every displayed contextual score must name the model and version and remain separate from the source research score.
The useful question is not which platform is universally first. It is why a small candidate set fits this decision, in this company, under these constraints.
Compares two July 17, 2026 experimental context models spanning active catalog products and 300 synthetic company contexts. Neither is approved as the public ranking authority.
The models are heuristic and simulated. They are not human preference data, verified procurement outcomes, or objective measures of universal product quality.
