Clio Duo

Clio Duo is an AI helper inside Clio, a law practice management tool for small and growing law firms. Staff use it to draft client emails, summarize case notes, and pull key dates from court documents into the calendar. It can also suggest time entries and draft invoices from matter data. Duo only uses a firm's own Clio data, and Clio says it does not train outside models on client information; every AI action is logged for review. Clio holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications. Clio has begun rolling this feature out under a new name, Manage AI, so confirm current branding.

This fits a small or growing law firm that already runs its practice on Clio Manage and wants to cut time on routine writing and administrative work rather than outside legal research. Third-party estimates put the AI add-on near $39 to $59 per user a month on top of a base Clio subscription; treat this as a rough planning number and confirm against Clio's current pricing page. A sensible starting point is turning the feature on for one or two staff members before a firm-wide rollout. One limitation is scope, since Duo only reads information already stored inside Clio and will not reach outside documents or email threads, and as with any AI writing tool, a person should still review its drafts before they reach a client.
