The Challenge

A global business preparing for continued expansion needed an independent view of whether its technology environment could support the next stage of growth. Leadership wanted to understand whether the company’s systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity controls, and IT organization were sufficiently scalable to support organic growth, geographic expansion, and future acquisitions.

Particular attention was placed on the ERP-centered application landscape, integration complexity, data management capabilities, cybersecurity maturity, and the ability of the IT function to support an increasingly complex global operation without introducing undue risk.

Our Approach

TriVista conducted a comprehensive IT due diligence assessment spanning business enablement, application and infrastructure scalability, data management, cybersecurity, IT operations, governance, and organizational effectiveness.

The team interviewed management, reviewed enterprise architecture, and evaluated the core systems supporting finance, supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, and reporting. TriVista also assessed the ERP environment, integration architecture, disaster recovery capabilities, reporting platforms, infrastructure standards, and the technology resources supporting global operations.

To strengthen the assessment, TriVista benchmarked IT capabilities against peer organizations and conducted external vulnerability and dark web exposure reviews. This created a broad, fact-based view of both current-state risk and the technology capabilities required to support future growth.

The Results

TriVista’s diligence confirmed that the company had a stable and generally scalable technology environment with no material IT red flags that would impair the investment thesis. Core infrastructure, enterprise applications, backup processes, and cybersecurity controls were effectively supporting current operations and providing a solid foundation for continued global growth.

At the same time, the assessment identified several opportunities to strengthen scalability and business enablement, including application rationalization, development of a longer-term ERP strategy, expanded integration capabilities, stronger enterprise reporting and data governance, additional cybersecurity maturity, and enhanced strategic IT leadership.

TriVista translated these findings into a prioritized technology roadmap designed to reduce risk, improve enterprise visibility, support future acquisitions, and strengthen the organization’s ability to scale. The result was greater confidence in the existing technology platform, along with a clear path for evolving the IT environment in line with the company’s growth strategy.
