AlphaSense
A market research tool that searches company filings, broker research, and expert call transcripts fast, used by investment and strategy teams.
A research tool that shows whether later studies backed up, argued against, or just mentioned a paper.
Scite is an AI research tool, now owned by Research Solutions, a public company. Researchers use it to check how a paper has actually been cited. Its Smart Citations feature reads more than 1.6 billion citation statements and tags each one as supporting, contrasting, or simply mentioning the original claim. Scite also runs a full-text search across more than 317 million articles, including paywalled content from over 35 publisher partners, and an AI Research Assistant answers questions with citations linked straight to the source text. Users can save searches into shared Collections for a lab or team, and Enterprise plans add institution-wide access for a university or company.
This fits a team that leans on scientific literature to make decisions, such as life sciences or policy research groups. A single researcher can start on the Basic plan, priced around 20 dollars a user per month; a lab or small team doing deep reviews should look at the Pro or Team plan, around 50 dollars a user per month. Treat these numbers as planning estimates and confirm current pricing with Scite, and ask for an Enterprise quote if you want access for everyone. One risk is that Smart Citations reflect how often a claim is challenged, not whether the claim is true; a heavily contested paper is not automatically a bad paper. Use the tool to find debate, then read the actual studies.
These estimates cover licensing, setup, integrations, staff time, security, administration, and support.

Estimate assumptions: Based on 20 enabled users. This is a planning allowance, not verified product pricing. Confirm the vendor’s billing unit and current price or quote before budgeting.
Benefits have not been estimated: The current research does not estimate potential savings, return on investment, or how long it would take to recover the cost. Earlier benefit estimates are excluded.
Confirm current product identity, commercial packaging, data processing terms, sign-in and access rules, retention, integrations, support model, implementation effort, and rollback conditions.
Verify identity, package, availability, ownership, pricing, and security evidence before approving a pilot
Do not approve a pilot yet. Verify the current product identity, package, availability, owner, pricing, and security evidence; then define one workflow, a baseline, and rollback criteria.
Define what success looks like for a test of Scite and assign someone to lead it.
Once the requirements above are met, compare a small trial with how your team works today.
Track adoption, output quality, business results, and actual costs against the estimate.
Use the results to decide whether to stop, adjust, or expand the pilot.
Confirm encryption, how the vendor uses your data, customer data separation, how long data stays and how to delete it, activity records, sign-in and user setup, where data is handled, other companies that process data, past incidents, and what your team must manage.
Review before rollout: confirm how to export your data, revoke access, and return to your existing workflow. Assign an owner and test the rollback plan before expanding use.
