Guru
A company knowledge tool that stores short, verified answers and serves them inside Slack, Teams, and the browser.
A team wiki for how-to guides and internal docs, with AI that answers questions from your content, starting near $7 per user a month.
Slab is a team wiki and documentation tool. Teams use it to write, organize, and search internal knowledge such as onboarding guides, engineering docs, and meeting notes. An AI feature called AI Ask answers questions from your Slab content, and two more, AI Autofix and AI Predict, help with writing and formatting as you type. It is made by Slab Inc. and connects to Google, Slack, GitHub, Asana, and Okta. Every plan includes single sign-on; paid plans add unlimited version history, SAML-based single sign-on, and SCIM user provisioning, which automatically adds or removes employees as they join or leave.
This fits a company that has outgrown a shared drive full of scattered documents but does not need the size or cost of a large enterprise search platform, such as an engineering, product, or operations team that wants one clean, searchable home for how-to guides and decisions. A practical starting point is the Startup plan, around $6.67 per user per month billed annually, rolled out to one or two departments before deciding on Business or Enterprise; treat that number as an estimate. The Free plan caps at 10 users, so a broader rollout means moving to a paid tier fairly early. Watch for attachment size limits on lower tiers, and confirm the SCIM and SAML features you need are on your chosen plan, not just Enterprise.
These estimates cover licensing, setup, integrations, staff time, security, administration, and support.

Estimate assumptions: Based on 20 enabled users. This is a planning allowance, not verified product pricing. Confirm the vendor’s billing unit and current price or quote before budgeting.
Benefits have not been estimated: The current research does not estimate potential savings, return on investment, or how long it would take to recover the cost. Earlier benefit estimates are excluded.
Confirm current product identity, commercial packaging, data processing terms, sign-in and access rules, retention, integrations, support model, implementation effort, and rollback conditions.
Verify identity, package, availability, ownership, pricing, and security evidence before approving a pilot
Do not approve a pilot yet. Verify the current product identity, package, availability, owner, pricing, and security evidence; then define one workflow, a baseline, and rollback criteria.
Define what success looks like for a test of Slab and assign someone to lead it.
Once the requirements above are met, compare a small trial with how your team works today.
Track adoption, output quality, business results, and actual costs against the estimate.
Use the results to decide whether to stop, adjust, or expand the pilot.
Confirm encryption, how the vendor uses your data, customer data separation, how long data stays and how to delete it, activity records, sign-in and user setup, where data is handled, other companies that process data, past incidents, and what your team must manage.
Review before rollout: confirm how to export your data, revoke access, and return to your existing workflow. Assign an owner and test the rollback plan before expanding use.
