Tableau Pulse is a feature that delivers short summaries of key business metrics to people where they already work. Instead of opening a dashboard, a manager gets a plain-language update in Slack, email, or the Tableau Mobile app that flags outliers, spots trends, and explains likely reasons for a change. Users can ask follow-up questions in a chat window. It is built into Tableau Cloud, which is made by Salesforce, and runs on Tableau AI and Salesforce's Einstein Trust Layer, meant to keep prompts and results inside the customer's own data boundary. Pulse costs nothing extra with Tableau Cloud plans but is not available on self-managed Tableau Server.
