As Director in TriVista’s Transaction Advisory Services Practice, Katie Harshman delivers a strong and diverse portfolio of M&A transactions and post-transaction improvement projects. Through insight-driven analysis and evaluation of current operations, she implements cost-reduction strategies, internal control improvements, risk exposure reductions, and streamlined business processes across numerous industry sectors.
Katie’s background as a food scientist is foundational to her project leadership within the food, beverage, and consumer products industries, where she has worked with global manufacturers throughout North America, China, and Europe. She applies complex problem-solving and innovative process development expertise to drive product development, process streamlining, global footprint synergy strategies, capacity utilization management, and SIOP optimization that contribute to client growth and cost reduction.
Her subject matter expertise includes continuous improvement, due diligence, food safety, and sell-side assessment.
Katie holds a BS in Food Science and Technology from The Ohio State University. She is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt certified through the University of California, Irvine, HACCP Certified through The Ohio State University, and an International Certified Food Safety Manager through the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals.
